Doors for Massive, Oversized Entrances

Megadoors are designed for aviation hangers, mining operations and large facilities requiring massive doors to allow safe passage of vehicles and equipment. These doors are able to withstand harsh environments and remain stable in cold temperatures and high winds.

Custom Sizing

Custom built with reinforced fabric for low temperatures, anti-fall safety devices, and storm locks that secure the door during the most extreme weather conditions. Doors are custom built to widths reaching more than 50 meters and heights exceeding 30 meters.

Reliable and Durable

The doors operate using a vertical folding design. Metal beams run across the opening, with durable fabric panels between them. Hoist units lift the door using steel cables, allowing it to fold upward in horizontal sections. The design supports smooth operation even at very large scales.

Applications for Industry

Our ultra heavy-duty doors built with weather-tight fabric are used primarily in the following industries:

  • Aviation & Aerospace: A popular aircraft hangar door system used by commercial airlines, military air assets, and airport facilities. Because of the near-airtight, patented wind-lock system (even in gail force windstorms) they are well purposed for aircraft storage and maintenance facilities requiring indoor climate control. Megadoors are suited for air hangers in and around both Calgary and Edmonton International Airports.
  • Mining: Megadoors are able to withstand environmental elements such as; wind loads, dust and dirt as well as sub-zero temperatures. These attributes make them a perfect choice for large industrial equipment bays, manufacturing plants as well as mine ventilation portals.
  • Heavy Manufacturing: Megadoors are commonly found in large factories factories, steel mills, and massive assembly buildings where oversized equipment or materials must pass through.

Features and Benefits of Megadoors

  • Energy Efficient
Megadoors are widely known as being one of the best large-door systems for blocking air-infiltration - excellent for strict climate control facilities. Because of exceptional air-tightness they are also energy efficient reducing cost for heating and cooling
  • Minimal Maintenance
Because Megadoors are engineered with few moving parts and designed without floor tracks or the need for lifting belt lubrication they require very minimal maintenance for continuous operation
  • Durable
Tested to operate over one million cycles of high-frequency opening/closing as well as dusty and harsh environments Megadoors are robust and long-lasting
  • Enhanced Lighting
Translucent door panels increase interior lighting increasing safety conditions for busy workplaces
  • Downtime Minimized
Megadoors innovative door panel design will continue to operate safely and can most often be repaired on site when collided into by heavy equipment
